Salmon lavash rolls

salmon roll

Some recipes look impressive but secretly take almost no effort — and this is one of them. These salmon lavash rolls are fresh, creamy, herby, and perfect for parties, picnics, brunches, or wine nights with friends.

The best part? You only need a few ingredients and about 10 minutes of prep time.

Ingredients

  • 1 large sheet of lavash
  • 200 g Greek yogurt
  • 150 g salted salmon
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • A small bunch of fresh dill
  • Freshly ground black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the dill and slice the salmon into small thin pieces.

Lay the lavash flat on a clean surface and evenly spread the Greek yogurt all over it, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle with dill, capers, and salmon pieces. Add a little black pepper if you like.

  1. Carefully roll the lavash into a tight log. Wrap it firmly in plastic wrap to help it hold its shape.

Place in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours. This step is important — it helps the roll become compact and much easier to slice cleanly.

  1. Remove the plastic wrap and cut the roll into bite-sized pinwheels.
  2. Arrange on a plate and serve chilled.

Tips

  • For extra freshness, add thin cucumber slices or arugula.
  • You can replace salmon with trout or smoked salmon.
  • These rolls can be made several hours in advance, making them ideal for parties.
  • Serve with sparkling wine or cold white wine for the perfect snack pairing 🍷

Creamy, salty, fresh, and incredibly pretty on the table — the kind of appetizer everyone reaches for first.
